林纾：林纾不懂外文，选择原本之权全操于口译者之手，因而也产生了一些疵误，如把名著改编或删节的儿童读物当作名著原作，把莎士比亚和易卜生的剧本译成小说，把易卜生的国籍误成德国等。即使这样，林纾仍然译了40余种世界名著，这在中国，到现在还不曾有过第二个。
